Urban simulation

Urban climate modeling

URBAN SIMULATION can be used for urban planning and the design of large-scale real estate programs to test the climatic impact of a given project in an urban area. The modelling capabilities make it possible to consider different scenarios and test the roles of physical variables. The latter allows to select the best climate performance in terms of adaptation to future risks, public health and comfort.

Leveraging the prior calculation of UCIX, the Urban Botanix solution allows for precise determination of the most at-risk areas, such as heat islands (ICU) and urban runoff, for example.

Urban Botanix analyses are carried out based on mapping and under different aspects:

  •  Knowledge of the city’s infrastructure derived from various data sources : underground networks (gas, electricity, etc.), parking, railways, roads, etc.
  • Climate situation data
  • Data from various scientific research

The tool determines areas suitable for tree planting and proposes a list of tree species adapted to each territory based on certain criteria (carbon capture, combating heat islands, resilience, etc.).
